Reportedly, the victim stepped out of his home after dinner when he was shot dead. The attackers reportedly fled the scene after taking his mobile phone and deliberately damaging nearby CCTV cameras, likely in an attempt to destroy evidence and avoid identification.

The murder has sparked fear among the residents of the village, who are now questioning the state of law and order in the area. "Amandeep was a friendly person. We doubt he had enemies. We are in complete shock," said a villager. The brutality of the crime has left people feeling unsafe.

The victim’s younger brother, who rushed to the scene after hearing the news, expressed anger over the incident. "He didn’t have any enmity with anyone. We cannot imagine who would want to harm him," he told mediapersons.

A case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections of the Arms Act has been registered against unknown persons. The police have begun investigation though no arrests have been made so far.
