Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal highlighted the importance of eye donation, stating that it benefits not only medical research but also helps provide the gift of sight to those in need.

Speaking at a medical camp organised by the Human Rights Press Club, Kapurthala, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the significance of providing free healthcare services to the public. He commended the organisers for their efforts in encouraging community participation and announced that 50 individuals pledged to donate their eyes, inspiring others to contribute to such noble causes.

During the event, the Deputy Commissioner visited the camp, honoured blood donors, and recognised the contributions of doctors and medical staff. Earlier, Municipal Commissioner Anupam Kaler inaugurated the camp.

The camp provided free health check-ups to 2,000 patients. Additionally, three individuals signed consent forms to donate their bodies for medical research. Civil Surgeon Dr Richa Bhatia and several other officials also participated in the camp.
