89 donate blood in Phagwara

As many as 89 youths donated blood in a camp organised by the Hindustan Welfare Blood Donors Club, Phagwara, under the leadership of president Pandit Rahul Sharma. The camp was held with the support of the Department of Youth Services Punjab, Mera Yuva Bharat Kapurthala, and HDFC Bank.

Inaugurating the camp, former Union Minister Som Parkash commended the donors, describing them as “the true heroes of a civilised society who give life through their noble service.” He emphasised that blood donation is an act of compassion that not only saves lives, but also inspires others to contribute to humanity.

Leaders from various political and social organisations, including AAP leader Harjinder Singh Khalsa, BJP leaders Pankaj Chawla and Rajeev Pahwa, and Councillor Beera Ram Baljot, also visited the camp. They lauded the efforts of the club and described blood donation as the highest form of humanitarian service. All donors were honoured for their contributions.
