AAP leader praises Army’s Op Sindoor

Ashok Bhatia, District Secretary of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Kapurthala, has strongly praised the Indian Army for its decisive action against Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, describing it as a fitting response to hostile threats.

He emphasised that the entire nation stands united with the armed forces and condemned those who, driven by personal or political bias, attempt to undermine the country during such critical times.

Bhatia stated that while political ideologies and policies can be debated in a democratic framework, spreading false or misleading information that serves the agenda of anti-India forces is a serious offense. “Some individuals, knowingly or unknowingly, are amplifying fake posts from Pakistan and anti-India groups abroad. This spreads fear and supports a dangerous agenda aimed at weakening national unity,” he said.

The AAP leader expressed concern over the growing trend of internal misinformation during military operations and urged that such acts be treated as crimes against the nation. He called on security agencies to take strict action against those inciting hate and spreading fabricated content.

Criticising certain media outlets, Bhatia noted that some leading news channels were broadcasting sensationalised and unverified reports too quickly, which he deemed irresponsible. “Boosting morale is important in war-like situations, but compromising truth for TRPs damages public trust,” he cautioned.

Bhatia also criticised select politicians and self-proclaimed analysts who, according to him, attempt to defame the country’s strength and sacrifice through baseless narratives. “There are people whose mind-set has become so toxic that they look for flaws even during testing times. Such ingratitude towards their own nation is deeply shameful,” he remarked.

Bhatia reiterated that no one has the right to insult the Indian Constitution, national flag, or armed forces under the guise of free speech. He also warned against using language, race, or regionalism to divide the Indian population.

Reaffirming the party’s commitment, he stated that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP stands firmly with the Indian Army. “If needed, our workers will reach the borders to boost the morale of the troops and extend all possible assistance as patriotic citizens,” Bhatia declared.
