Parties eyeing vote bank
- Leaders from the Congress, SAD and the BJP also frequently visit Dera Sachkhand Ballan
- PCC chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and party candidate Karamjit Kaur Chaudhary visited the dera
- BJP state chief Ashwani Sharma and Union Minister Som Parkash called upon Dera Ballan head Niranjan Dass
- Recently, SAD chief Sukhbir Badal, AAP Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and CM Mann visited Devi Talab Mandir
As the opposition has been attacking AAP over deteriorating law and order and disturbance of harmony, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema along with party candidate Sushil Rinku visited Dera Sachkhand Ballan and Shri Devi Talab Mandir as well as Gurdwara Patshahi Chhevi, Basti Sheikh.
Dera Ballan has been the most visited shrine across the party lines as it’s a revered seat of the Ravidassia community. Cheema said the traditional parties relied on religion or mislead the voters by promising them the moon, but AAP does the politics of work and honesty.
Harchand Singh Barsat, general secretary, AAP, participated in Easter ceremony at a church in Tajpur village. Barsat said, “Today is a day of great joy as we all have gathered here to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. I wish Baljinder Singh ministry a very happy Easter.”
Meanwhile, Baljinder Singh ministry recently hogged the limelight over the issue of mass conversions.
