Taking a jibe at Congress leaders celebrating the defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Delhi Assembly elections, Joginder Singh Mann, AAP in-charge for the Phagwara Assembly constituency, remarked that the position of Congress in Delhi has become like “a spectator at someone else’s wedding”.

Speaking to the media, Mann asserted that Congress has lost its ability to win elections and is now resorting to celebrating the victories and defeats of other parties.

Mann argued that despite the loss, the party’s vote share remains close to that of the BJP. “Winning or losing seats is a numbers game. Losing power in Delhi will only strengthen AAP further, and we will continue to play the role of a strong Opposition,” he stated.

Mann accused the BJP of securing power in Delhi through false promises and vowed to hold them accountable. “We will ensure that the BJP fulfills all the promises it made to the people of Delhi. Moreover, we will not let the schemes and benefits introduced by the Arvind Kejriwal-led government be discontinued at any cost,” he asserted.

In response to a query, Mann stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is committed to fulfilling all its election promises before the next Assembly elections. He claimed that people in the state are satisfied with AAP’s governance in the state, as evidenced by the party’s strong performance in municipal and panchayat elections.
