Senior BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal has raised serious allegations against the AAP leadership, accusing them of striking a secret Rs 30,000 crore deal with real estate developers in the guise of Punjab’s land pooling scheme.

In a press release issued here today, Grewal claimed that the Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and backed by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, is using the land pooling policy to hand over 75,000 acres of land—including 40,000 acres of fertile farmland—to Delhi-based realtors. He described the scheme as a “scam in the name of development” and a direct attack on the rights of farmers.

“This is not a development policy—it’s a betrayal. The land pooling scheme is nothing but a tool to benefit a few of Kejriwal’s close friends in the real estate business,” said Grewal. He also referred to the policy as a “Ponzi-style trap” that could permanently displace thousands of farmers across Punjab.

The BJP leader warned that if the Mann government fails to scrap the policy, the party will launch a state-wide protest. “We will take this fight to every village and every town. If necessary, we will approach the courts to defend the rights of our farmers,” Grewal declared.

He also called on the newly appointed district presidents of the BJP to mobilise support at the grassroots level and strengthen the party’s base in Punjab. “The time has come to reconnect with the people and stand by our food providers,” he added.

Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Grewal accused him of making statements that undermine the country and its armed forces. “Rahul Gandhi often seems to follow a script written abroad. But the people of India have not forgotten how PM Modi gave a strong response to Pakistan,” he said.
