The six-day AGI Swimming Championship is set to kick off tomorrow at the swimming pools of Jalandhar Heights 1 and 2. The event is being organised by the AGI Sports Institute of India, a subsidiary of AGI Infra Limited and will feature competitions across four categories — freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke.
According to Surinder Bhambri, Managing Director of the Institute, the highest number of entries has been recorded in the under-15 boys’ and girls’ categories.
“It is encouraging to see such enthusiastic participation, especially from young swimmers in the under-10 and under-15 age groups,” Bhambri remarked.
The inaugural ceremony will take place at 5 pm on June 25 at the Jalandhar Heights 2 swimming pool, located on 66-ft Road.
