Air Commodore Jacob inspects Sainik School

Air Commodore S Jacob, Inspecting Officer, Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, paid a two-day visit to Sainik School, Kapurthala.
During his tour on Monday and Tuesday, he conducted a comprehensive review of the school’s academic activities and administrative operations. He started his tour by visiting the Smriti Sthal, a memorial site within the school premises to pay homage to the martyrs by offering floral tributes. Subsequently, he inspected and received a salute from the school’s NCC Guard of Honour.
The school band team showcased their musical prowess and marching skills, which he lauded profusely. Air Cdre Jacob meticulously inspected all the laboratories within the school. He also thoroughly examined the art room, classrooms and all dormitories, gathering detailed information about each facility.
The inspecting officer engaged in extensive discussions regarding all administrative documents, academic activities, cadet training-related annual plans and programmes, board examination (X/XII) results, NDA results, and other pertinent matters. As a part of the environmental conservation initiative, a tree-planting ceremony was also conducted within the school premises.
The cadets’ cultural performances in the auditorium captivated everyone’s hearts, eliciting expressions of delight from the Air Commodore. In conclusion, while addressing the cadets, the Inspecting Officer said, “Cadets should always remain vigilant about their future. The past of Sainik School, Kapurthala, has been truly illustrious. Students who have studied here have excelled in every sphere of life, particularly in the nation’s defence services, Alumni from this institution have ascended to the highest echelons. Following in the footsteps of your predecessors, you should join the armed forces and uphold the school’s historic legacy.” Principal of the school Group Captain Madhu Sengar expressed gratitude to Air Cdre Jacob for his visit. The event was attended by the Vice Principal Wing Commander Deepika Rawat, Administrative Officer Lt Col JBS Beg, and the entire school community.
