All 6 tehsildars, 12 naib tehsildars in Jalandhar relieved
Following a massive reshuffle of tehsildars and naib tehsildars across the state, all six tehsildars and 12 naib tehsildars, who were posted in various tehsils and sub-tehsils of Jalandhar, got relieved of their official duties in the district.
The 18 revenue officials shall be joining their duties at new locations where they have been transferred from tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, 13 naib tehsildars from outside, who have been transferred to Jalandhar, reported their joining with Deputy Commissioner this evening. Since the state government had placed the services of the tehsildars at the disposal of the DCs, the tehsils and sub-tehsils shall be allotted to them tomorrow morning.
Even as all six tehsildars from Jalandhar have been transferred, the district has not got a new tehsildar-rank revenue official. The administration shall have to manage with naib-tehsildars till any such transfer is effected for Jalandhar. The district shall also be short of five revenue officials. "Some of the new naib tehsildars at our disposal will also get additional duties. The newly joined revenue officials shall be assigned duties tomorrow around 8 am", said Deputy Commissioner Dr Himanshu Aggarwal.
Before being transferred out, the old Jalandhar revenue staff today registered 349 documents related to property sale/purchase. These included 179 in Jalandhar-1, 91 in Jalandhar-2, 30 in Goraya, 48 in Nakodar, one in Adampur and none in Bhogpur, Shahkot, Lohian or Nurmahal.
Sub-Registrar, Jalandhar-1, Gurpreet Singh has moved to Muktsar after performing his duties in the day. Sub-Registrar, Jalandhar-2, Ram Chand shall be joining in Faridkot from tomorrow. Swapandeep Kaur, Tehsildar, Jalandhar-1, and daughter of Sarabjit Singh killed in Pak jail, too shall be joining in Barnala tomorrow. Pardeep Kumar of Nakodar has been asked to join in Barnala, Gurpreet posted in Adampur shall move to Muktsar, and Sandeep Kumar shall serve in Mansa.
Likewise, Naib Tehsildar (NT) Onkar Singh, who was posted in Adampur, has left for Barnala. Shahkot NT Gulabdeep S Thind has been transferred to Fazilka. Kartarpur NT has been shifted to Bathinda and Phillaur NT Sunita Khelan has been asked to render her services at Patiala. Similarly, among those being posted in Jalandhar are Jaswinder Singh, who was last posted in Khem Karan, Jaspal Singh from Narot Jaimal Singh, Angrej Singh from Budhlada, Arshpreet Kaur from Sardulgarh and Jagtar Singh from Sangrur.
