Ambedkar Sena burns Raja Warring’s effigy

Members of Ambedkar Sena, led by its secretary Dharminder Bhularai, held a protest at Ambedkar Park in Hargobind Nagar here against the recent alleged casteist remarks by Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring about late senior Congress leader Buta Singh.

Addressing the media during the protest, Dharminder Bhularai said Congress president Raja Warring’s statement had hurt the sentiments of the Scheduled Caste community and amounted to an insult to their contributions and dignity.

The protesters also burnt an effigy of Raja Warring and raised slogans condemning his alleged remarks.

The demonstration concluded with the protesters dispersing peacefully.
