Ambedkar Sena protests at Rama Mandi Chowk

Activists of Ambedkar Sena Punjab and Guru Ravidas Tiger Force organised a protest and sat on a six-hour-long dharna at Rama Mandi Chowk here on Saturday.
They were demanding the registration of an FIR under the SC/ST Act and strict action against Sunil Jakhar, former PPCC president, for his alleged casteist statement against Charanjit Singh Channi, former Punjab CM.
The dharna started around 12.45 pm and commuters travelling between the Ludhiana and Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar and Amritsar and Jalandhar sections faced a lot of inconvenience. Even though alternate routes were arranged by the police, the travel time of commuters got increased by three times. Among those who participated in the dharna was Jassi Talhan from Guru Ravidass Tiger Force and MC councillor Mandeep Jassal.
