New District Attorney (Prosecution) Anil Boparai assumed office at the district court complex here today.

After taking the charge, the District Attorney said he would accord top priority to further speed up prosecutions in pending court cases so that timely justice could be delivered to parties concerned. He reinforced that strict punishment would be sought through law of court against those who have committed crimes.

Boparai had joined the department in 2006 as Assistant District Attorney (ADA) and was promoted as Deputy DA in 2016, afterwards he has served as Deputy DA Kapurthala. After promotion he had joined as District Attorney SBS Nagar.
