A two-day annual fiesta ‘Pinnacle-2019’ concluded at the Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering, Technical Campus, here, today.

Students participated with gusto for top honours in 40 events organised during the multi-event meet. The grand fiesta encompassed: Academic events — paper presentation, quiz, debate, net savvy, cultural events: skit, antakshri, one-act play, dumb charade, debate, classical vocal solo, balle-balle, fashion show, duet song and other events.

Jagdish Raj Raja, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony of the function. The event began with a mesmerising Ganesh vandana. Later, students presented a medley of soulful numbers. They also sang some melodious folk songs and revived the magic of the golden times when lyrics outweighed beats.

Dr Rajesh Bagga, director, of the institute, exhorted the students to put in their best and consistent efforts for the overall development of their personality. Dr Bagga also talked about big strides taken by the institute, keeping pace with the contemporary times.

The events of the second day started with a mudra-classical dance competition and throughout the day there was a pageant of interesting competitions. The raffle draw marked the culmination of the event. Babita Kaler, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, was the chief guest for the closing ceremony.

At the end, Rajneesh Arya, Dean, School of Management Studies, proposed a vote of thanks.
