The campaign is being conducted under the directions of the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, Chandigarh and under the supervision of Shri Harpreet Singh, PPS, SSP, Vigilance Bureau Range Jalandhar.
In an outreach activity conducted, teams of the Vigilance Bureau visited various public places across Kapurthala city — including the Bus Stand, Civil Hospital, Railway Station, BDPO Office, Police Station City Kapurthala and Police Station Sadar Kapurthala. Anti-corruption posters were prominently displayed at these locations to spread awareness among the public about the ill effects of corruption and the importance of public participation in eliminating it.
Along with the posters, awareness pamphlets were distributed to citizens, urging them to remain alert and report any instance of bribery or malpractice. The public was informed that complaints related to corruption can be lodged by contacting the helpline numbers printed on the pamphlets.
Officials emphasised that citizen cooperation is vital for building a corruption-free society. The Vigilance Awareness Week aims to strengthen public trust, encourage transparency, and motivate people to actively stand against corrupt practices in government departments and public offices.
