The Tehbazari Department of the Municipal Corporation launched anti-encroachment drive in various parts of the city today. The drive was carried out starting from the PNB chowk to Jyoti chowk, Dr B R Ambedkar Chowk to Civil Hospital and Ali mohalla.

The drive started around 12 noon and continued for four hours. A team, accompanied by police personnel, took various things in its possession.

Ashwani Gill, Superintendent of the Tehbazari team, said the drive would continue in the coming days too. “Recently, a meeting was held with the police department and action will be taken against those who encroach roads,” he said.
