Kuldip Singh, an ASI of the Punjab Police, sustained injuries when the police bus he was driving collided with a truck near DAV College, Phillaur, due to poor visibility caused by dense fog which continued enveloping the region.

DSP Sarwan Singh Bal said, “The injured driver was rescued from the damaged bus by the Sadak Surakhya Force, led by ASI Sarabjit Singh.”

The injured was first admitted to the Phillaur Civil Hospital and then sent to Jalandhar due to his critical condition.

The injured Kuldip Singh was going from Kapurthala to Patiala to transport personnel for security arrangements during Gurpurb when he collided with a truck near DAV College in Phillaur.

The police have impounded the truck and arrested its driver for further investigation.
