Auction of contracts at Nakodar Tehsil Complex on Oct 29

Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Nakodar Lal Vishwas Bains has announced that the auction of various contracts for the financial year 2025–26 will be conducted at the Tehsil Complex, Nakodar, on October 29. The contracts will be valid from November 1, to March 31, 2026.

According to the SDM, the public auction will be supervised by the Tehsildar and will include the contracts for the cycle stand, canteen, and polaroid camera services within the Tehsil Complex. The reserve prices for these have been fixed at Rs 1,00,000, Rs 62,000, and Rs 8,62,000 respectively, with a security deposit of Rs 20,000 for each contract.

The auction for the cycle stand will commence at 11 am, followed by the canteen auction at 12 noon and the polaroid camera contract at 12:30 pm.

Explaining the terms and conditions of bidding, SDM Bains stated that interested participants must submit a bank draft of the prescribed security amount in advance, drawn in favour of the DC-cum-Chairman, Operational and Maintenance Society, Jalandhar. The highest bidder will be required to deposit one-fourth of the total bid amount within two days of the auction date. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit.

The final approval of all bids will rest with the Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, who holds the authority to accept or reject any bid, and whose decision will be considered final and binding. After depositing the initial 25 per cent of the bid amount, the remaining balance will be payable in three instalments as per the stipulated schedule.

The contract period will remain effective till March 31. Upon the expiry of the contract period, i.e., after 5 pm on March 31, the contractor will no longer have any right to keep any belongings within the Tehsil premises. In case a contractor terminates the contract prematurely, the full amount for the entire period up to March 31, will still be payable.
