The All-India Balwant Singh Kapur Memorial Hockey Tournament is towards its final stage. During the tournament, four different teams have entered the semi-finals, after this the situation is now clear that on December 13, the first semi-final match will be played between Orissa Naval Tata High Performance Center Bhubaneswar vs Surjit Hockey Academy at 12 noon, while the second semi-final match will be played at 2 pm between Round Glass Hockey Academy Mohali vs Naval Tata Hockey Academy Jamshedpur team.
In the match played on Friday, Dr Rambabu from DAV Institute, Savarnjit Singh Olympian, Nitin Kohli Pradhan Hockey Punjab, Lakhwinder Pal Singh Khaira, Daljit Singh International arrived as chief guests, who met the players and inspired them to play with the spirit of the game.
The first match on Friday between SGPC Hockey Academy Amritsar and SAI Imphal was tied at two goals each, Jashanpreet Singh and Harmanpreet Singh scored one goal each for SGPC team while Sajan Yadav and Pankaj Sharma scored one goal each for SAI Imphal team. Jashan Preet Singh of SGPC team was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match, Boys Hostel Lucknow team defeated Namdhari Sports Academy 5-2. On behalf of Boys Hostel, Raghavendra Singh Chauhan scored two goals, Shahrukh Ali scored 2 goals, Abhijeet Pal scored 1 goal. Amanat Veer Singh and Pradeep scored one goal each for Namdhari Academy. Raghavendra Singh Chauhan of Boys Hostel Lucknow was chosen man of the match.
Round Glass Hockey Academy Mohali defeated Ghuman Heera Rising Hockey Academy Delhi 7-1. From Round Glass team, Sunny, Amandeep scored 1-1, Sukh Manpreet Singh scored 2 goals, Sukhpreet Singh and Arshdeep Singh, Anurag Singh scored 1-1 goal. Arshdeep Singh of Round Glass Academy was adjudged man of the match.
Naval Tata Hockey Academy Jamshedpur defeated Hockey Himachal Academy 6-2. For Jamshedpur team, Ashish, Mohit scored one goal each while Tintus and Sabia scored two goals each. Kunal Preet Singh and Akashdeep Singh scored one goal each for Himachal team. Premchand Soy of Naval Tata Jamshedpur was adjudged man of the match.
