Munishwar Sharma, National Secretary of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and newly-appointed NSUI Punjab Incharge, visited Jalandhar, where he was welcomed by party workers.

During his visit, Sharma was felicitated at multiple programmes wherein he urged the youth to be agents of change and help society shun drugs. The first welcome programme was held at Taj Market Garha, which was organised by Punjab Youth Congress secretary Angad Dutta. Sharma’s message of empowerment and positive change resonated with the gathering.

A programme was also held at Apeejay College, where students received Sharma. His interaction with the youth highlighted the critical role that students play in shaping the future of the nation and he encouraged them to take active participation in social and political discourse.

Student leaders Honey Vig, Aman Khinda, Rachit Uppal, Harman Maan, Abhishek Arora, Arshjeet Singh, Gurkaran Banwait and Nipun Rishi were present with him.

Another programme was arranged at the residence of Bob Malhotra, secretary of the Youth Congress, Jalandhar. The culmination of Sharma’s visit was marked by a ceremony at bus stand where he and the participants paid floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Throughout his visit, Sharma delivered a powerful message to the youth, urging them to stand united against drug menace and substance abuse. He emphasised the importance of fitness and sports in leading a healthy and productive life, encouraging young people to engage in physical activities and games.

Sharma’s call to action resonated with the audience, inspiring them to become proactive agents of change in their communities.
