Accompanied by local councillor Raj Kumar Raju, the minister said the roads will ease commuting in Bhargo Nagar’s main bazaar, meeting the main demand of residents and shopkeepers here.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure, Bhagat said the state, under CM Bhagwant Mann, was ensuring the timely execution of development works. “There is no paucity of funds. A large number of projects are being inaugurated daily to improve basic amenities,” he said.

The minister added that once the monsoon subsides, several more road projects would be launched to further boost the city’s road network. “We are working in a planned manner to address infrastructure needs across all areas,” he said. The minister also directed officials to ensure the timely completion of these roads while keeping close tabs over the quality of the roads. He mentioned that any compromise with the road standards would be unwarranted as action will be taken against the erring persons.

The initiative is expected to improve connectivity for people living in and around the area. The projects are expected to significantly reduce travel hassles in the busy market stretch.
