There was a blackout in the district last night. The blackout which started at 8:15 pm continued till 12 am. District Magistrate Aashiq Jain shared a voice message and informed about the end of the blackout.

Exactly 15 minutes later, at around 12:30 pm, another audio message was broadcast by the District Magistrate, according to which the blackout would be implemented again on the instructions of the Indian Air Force. This blackout then continued till 5 am. During this time, air raid sirens kept sounding intermittently, although no major drone or missile movement of any kind was seen.

Meanwhile, a drone fell in a village on Tanda Road. In the morning, the air raid siren again sounded between 8 am and 8:15 am.

After this, the District Magistrate issued an audio message saying that Hoshiarpur was on alert as per the instructions of the Air Force and these sirens have been sounded to warn people.

He said that citizens should stay in their homes as much as possible and those who were outside should try to reach their destinations.
