Book on 9th Sikh Guru presented to officials

A solemn and reverent ceremony was held in Jalandhar as the religious heritage book, "Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib", was formally presented to Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal.

Authored by Punjab State Information Commissioner Harpreet Sandhu, the book commemorates the 350th martyrdom year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur and aims to educate diverse communities about the Guru's life, teachings and unparalleled sacrifice.

The volume, earlier released by Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at the Punjab Raj Bhawan, chronicles the sacred journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur through vivid descriptions of historical Gurdwaras and holy sites sanctified by His presence. The presentation in Jalandhar highlighted the continuing relevance of the Guru's message of peace, compassion and righteousness.

A pictorial brochure complementing the book-featuring visual interpretations of the Guru's spiritual essence-was also unveiled. The Deputy Commissioner acknowledged the initiative as a meaningful effort to bring the Guru's legacy closer to the public through an accessible pictorial narrative. He also lauded the efforts of Harpreet Sandhu.

Later in the day, State Information Commissioner Harpreet Sandhu shared copies of the commemorative book with Lt Gen Ajay Chandpuria, General Officer Commanding, 11 Corps; ADGP, PAP, MF Farooqui, and BSF Inspector General Dr Atul Fulzele.
