Boot camp on innovation, design ends

CT Institute of Engineering, Management and Technology (CTIEMT) recently concluded its five-day Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) Boot Camp — Edition 2, Phase 2, in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC). The event, which wrapped up on Friday, was held at 12 locations across the country, with over 200 students participating in the programme at CTIEMT.

The boot camp was inaugurated online by Prof TG Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE. Sarim Moin, Innovation Officer at MIC and Ankush Gawri, Manager – IP and Technology Transfer at AICTE, served as the event’s Nodal Centre Heads.

This boot camp provided students with a platform to participate in interactive sessions, industrial and incubator visits, panel discussions and workshops focused on entrepreneurship, product innovation and business development. Topics included startups, patents, product design, user experience, customer persona and prototype-to-MVP development.

On the final day, 38 teams from across the country presented their startup ideas in a competitive pitch session. After a rigorous evaluation by industry experts, seven ventures secured positions, with Team Deep Truth claiming first place, followed by Miladhaya in second and Quad Bits in third. Latt Free and Cognitive Audibrain Decoding shared the fourth position, while Pure Washr Solutions and Rescue X jointly secured fifth place.

Dr Ruchi Gautam Pant from the Wadhwani Group served as the Master Trainer, guiding participants throughout the camp. The jury panel included leading entrepreneurs and industrialists, such as Tushar Jain, Mukul Verma, Dr Munish Jindal, Shyamal Kishore, Anima Mishra, Dr Nancy Juneja, Chef Naman Arora, Chef Vishavdeep Bali and Gaurav Sharma.

The closing ceremony was attended by Dr Jasdeep Kaur Dhami, the director of campus, Dr Sangram, director of Academic Operations and Dr Nittan Arora, director of CCPC. Dr Manbir Singh, managing director of CT Group, praised the participants’ efforts and urged them to pursue entrepreneurship as a vital force for innovation and economic growth.
