Witnesses said Paramjit lost his control of the vehicle while talking to his wife. The injured Gurminder was admitted to the Civil Hospital. oc
Four booked for murder bid
Phagwara: The police have booked four villagers on the charges of attempt to murder and firing. The accused Dilbag Singh, Sukhpreet Singh, Kulwant Singh and Varinder Pal Singh were residents of Reharrwan village. Kulwindar Singh of Punia Mand village complained to the police that the accused attacked and broke his vehicle's windowpanes to kill him and opened fire. Phagwara: The Lohian police have booked some miscreants for stealing jewellery and cash. Baljindar Singh, a resident of Ward no.12, complained to the police that some thieves broke the shutter of his jewellery shop on January 5 night and decamped with 100 gram of gold and 2 kg of silver ornaments and Rs 15,000. Phagwara: The police have booked a miscreant on the charge of stealing a motorcycle. Yadwindar Singh, a resident of Fazilka district, complained to the police that he had parked his motorcycle near a gurdawra at Malsian village on July 31 last year from where it was stolen. Phagwara: The police have arrested a woman on the charge of assaulting a co-villager. The accused has been identified as Bholi of Kot Badal Khan village. Som Nath of the same village had complained to the police that the accused and her accomplices barged into his house on July 5 afternoon, attacked and injured him. De-Addiction Centre sealed
Phagwara: A team of health and police administration raided a private drug de-addiction centre “Sehaj De-Addiction Centre” near Civil Hospital, Phagwara, on Thursday. SMO Dr Parminder Kaur said a huge quantity of 2.63 lakh intoxicated medicines were also sealed. oc
