Mobile OOAT clinic as pilot project

Phagwara: DC Deepti Uppal, who is also chairman of the District De-addiction and Rehabilitation Society, Kapurthala, on Monday said a mobile OOAT clinic would be started as a pilot project in the district to prevent overcrowding. She said the mobile OOAT clinic van would visit villages four days a week and would remain stationed at a specific location for about two hours. She said it would visit Sandhu Chatha, Jallowal, Khusropur and Sidhwwan Dona villages on every Tuesday. The van would visit Banwalipur, Kular, Kahlwan and Thingli villages on Wednesday. For other two days, the van would visit Syal, Bhanolanga,Toganwal, Mothanwali, Sechan, Lattianwal and Toti villages. The DC said the mobile clinic would remain stationed at district headquarters on every Monday and Thursday. OC

‘Arrangements in place for procurement’

Phillaur: Congress leader Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary on Monday visited Phillaur and Goraya grain markets and took stock of the arrangements for the procurement season, which will begin from April 15. Expressing satisfaction over the preparations, Chaudhary said the state government had made all necessary arrangements for the wheat procurement in the wake of Covid pandemic. He said the floor had been divided into boxes at all markets. To prevent crowd, all farmers would be issued coupons, he added. OC
