The Congress party led by Phagwara MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal and the activists of Bahujan Samaj Party led by Harmesh Kaul staged separate protests against Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his alleged remarks against Dr BR Ambedker in Phagwara on Tuesday.

The BSP activists assembled at Sugar Mill Chowk, Phagwara, to express their resentment against the alleged remarks made on Dr BR Ambedkar by Union Home Minister Amit Shah during the parliament session.

The leaders demanded that strict legal action should be taken against Shah for his remarks and also for insulting the followers of Dr BR Ambedkar. Meanwhile, the Congress activists led by Phagwara MLA Dhaliwal demonstrated against Amit Shah and sought his resignation.
