Farewell to 12th grade students
Phagwara: Bassi Educational Society’s Cambridge International School hosted a farewell ceremony for its outgoing 12th-grade students. The event began with inspiring and emotional speeches. A special video montage captivated the audience, taking students on a nostalgic journey through the students’ years at school. The most exciting highlight of the event was the glamorous ramp walk, where students were recognised for their unique qualities through 38 diverse titles. The prestigious title of Mr Cambridge and Ms Cambridge were bestowed upon the Head Boy, Hiten Kalucha, and the Head Girl, Kiratpreet Kaur. Mr and Ms All-Rounder title was awarded to Vansh Jain and Parneet Kaur Khurana. Jayati Jain and Rajveer Singh were honoured with Ms Beautiful and Mr Handsome titles, respectively. Principal Jorawar Singh expressed the confidence that the students would continue to shine and make a lasting impact.
Pariksha Pe Charcha
Jalandhar: Students, teachers and parents of Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School witnessed “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025”, an initiative undertaken by the CBSE, an annual event hosted by PM Narendra Modi, on the agenda of academic and examination-related queries. The event was telecast live nationwide, as well as on YouTube. Students of Classes VI onwards along with their teachers watched its live telecast. Students who witnessed the telecast gained valuable lessons from the PM’s enriching words. The theme was ‘Embrace Learning, Empower Lives’.The programme addressed key question on examinations and the objective was to create a more joyful and less stressful learning experience for our future nation-builders, enlightening them about the diverse growth opportunities in the country. The PM also taught students how to meditate and practice deep breathing. He also urged the parents to allow their children to choose their own paths, recognise their talent and not pressurise them excessively for studies.
Students visit Gurdwara Sahib
Jalandhar: Students of State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, of classes 10 and 12 visited a gurdwara to seek blessings before the commencement of their Board examinations. With folded hands and reverence in their hearts, the students participated in the prayers, seeking wisdom, clarity and confidence for their upcoming exams. The serene atmosphere of the Gurudwara Sahib filled them with positivity and determination, reinforcing their belief that hard work, combined with faith, leads to success. Principal Savina Bahl expressed her best wishes to all students, encouraging them to stay focused, believe in themselves and approach their exams with a calm and prepared mind.
Career counselling session
Kapurthala: A career counselling session for Class X students was held at Premjot Public Senior Secondary School, Kapurthala, after the declaration of Class XII and X pre-Board result. The session was attended by Class X students along with their parents. The event was conducted with a purpose of making the students aware about different streams which they can choose on the basis of their interest and ability after matriculation. The students were given comprehensive knowledge of all the streams: Medical, Non-medical, Commerce and Arts, along with different combinations of subjects they would opt on the basis of their selection. The students were also acquainted with the experienced, well qualified and trained faculty of the senior secondary wing of the school. Director Gurbinder Singh, Principal Sapna Chadha and Secretary Rajbir Kaur were present during the session. tns
