Campus Notes: Spiritual excursion

Jalandhar: The INTACH Heritage Club of Apeejay College of Fine Arts organised an enriching educational, spiritual and cultural excursion to Vrindavan and Surajkund fair in Faridabad. The college excursion was aimed at seeking blessings from the Almighty at the beginning of the golden jubilee year of its establishment. A group of 42 students, accompanied by three faculty members, embarked on this journey to explore iconic historical sites, bustling markets and the vibrant Surajkund Fair. The trip was coordinated under the guidance of Principal Dr Neerja Dhingra and Rajni Kumar (Dean, Heritage Club). The excursion was organised by Vishav Bandhu Verma (INTACH member), accompanied by Tanya and Jasleen Kaur. In Vrindavan, the students visited temples such as Shri Banke Bihari, Radha Raman, Radha-Vallabh, Prem Mandir, Nidhivan and ISKCON.

HMV organises Raunak-e-Aamad

Jalandhar: A freshers’ party, ‘Raunak-e-Aamad-2025’ was organised for all the UG, PG and diploma first year students of Commerce, Science and Computer Science at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The overall in-charge of the event were Dr Ravinder Mohan Jindal, Dr Jatinder Kumar and Dr Jaspreet Kaur. The chief guest of the event, Principal Dr Ajay Sareen, was welcomed with a green planter by Dr Seema Marwaha, Dean Academics, Dr Urvashi Mishra, Dean, Students Council. Principal Dr Ajay Sareen advised the students to inculcate cultural and moral values in their life. Young girls participated in modelling, singing, traditional dance, Punjabi bhangra, guitars and catwalk during the modelling rounds. Dr Meenu Talwar, Upma Gupta, Sukriti Sharma and Vandana Sethi played the role of judges for the event. In modelling contest for UG classes, Kamalpreet Kaur was declared Ms HMV while Muskan and Konika were the first and second runners-up in UG modelling. Jaspreet was declared Ms HMV in modelling competition from PG classes, while Lovepreet and Kriti bagged the position of first and second runners-up in PG modelling.

Graduation ceremony

Jalandhar: A graduation ceremony was held at Guru Amar Dass Public School, Model Town, for its senior KG students in its Giggles wing. President Mohinderjit Singh and the school managing committee attended the ceremony as the chief guest. In-charge of the wing Jasmine Kaur presented a bouquet of flowers to the chief guest and welcomed all the dignitaries and the parents of all the graduating students. The programme started with a shabad. Kindergarten students presented their skills in welcome dance, group song, graduation song and bhangra. Senior KG students were presented the degree certificates and the trophies were presented to the winners. Master Kindergarten title was presented to Gurswaroop Singh and Miss Kindergarten title was conferred on Vedanshi Bhagat. Prabhchet Singh was declared an all-rounder. Best Orator title was given to Dilnoor Kaur, Most-Disciplined student title was given to Samarveer Singh and Gursimar Singh.
