Moot court competition

The Department of Law at CT Group organised an Intra-Departmental Moot Court Competition, providing law students with a platform to develop advocacy skills, legal reasoning and courtroom expertise. A panel of judges presided over the competition, including Jasvir Singh Kang, retired Additional District and Sessions Judge and former Chairman of Permanent Lok Adalat, advocate GK Agnihotri, Member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, advocate Ram Chhabra, senior vice-president, advocate Suraj Partap Singh, junior vice-president, advocate Rohit Gambhir, secretary, advocates Amarjit Singh Shergill, Pyara Ram, Harman Kaur, Rohit Sharma and Jatesh Gautam. The competition saw students present well-researched arguments with confidence and clarity, showcasing their legal acumen and courtroom etiquette. The judges commended the participants for their dedication, preparation and persuasive advocacy. The first position was secured by the appellant team consisting of Manraj Kaur, Deepawali and Jashanpreet Singh, while the respondent team included Baljot Kaur, Sunidhi and Amandeep Kaur.
