Workshop dwells on art integration

Jalandhar: A capacity building programme on "Art integration" was organised by the CBSE a MGN Public School, Adarsh Nagar. During the programme, resource persons Richa Kalra and Preeti Sharma from Cambridge Innovative School, Jalandhar, highlighted how integrating various art forms with other subjects can make learning more engaging and interactive and can cater to diverse learning styles. They said, "A 360° holistic learning is possible only by integrating various academic concepts with arts." Principal KS Randhawa, Headmistress Sangeeta Bhatia, and KG wing in-charge Sukham Thind welcomed guests by presenting planters and mementoes. In all, 55 participants attended the workshop.

Expert talk on lab tech

Jalandhar: The School of Paramedical Sciences, Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus, organised an expert talk on "The process of innovation development, technology readiness level, commercialisation of lab technology and technology transfer". Distinguished expert for the event was Dr Surendra Kumar Sharma, who provided valuable insights into various stages of innovation, from conceptualisation to commercialisation of lab technology. The session aimed to enlighten students on the significance of technological advancements in medical sciences and how laboratory technologies can be transferred from research to practical applications. Amandeep Paul, Head of Department, Kvanisha Rai Assistant Professor and Event Coordinator, welcomed participants. They emphasised on the department's commitment to fostering academic excellence through such initiatives. Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Director Academic Affairs, and Dr RS Deol, LKCTC, Jalandhar, encouraged students to actively participate in such knowledge-enhancing events.

Calligraphy competition at Eklavya School

Jalandhar: Eklavya School organised calligraphy competition aiming to enhance presentation skills and foster good handwriting habits among students. The pre-primary wing students participated in the calligraphy competition, showcasing their creativity and talent. The assessment criteria included writing style, curves, patterns, legibility, neatness and beautification. Chairman JK Gupta motivated students to participate in such events, while Director Seema Handa appreciated impressive handwriting displayed by young students. Primary students showcased their skills in English calligraphy, presenting diverse styles and fonts. Principal Komal Arora and Administrator Chanderlekha Bazaz encouraged students to maintain cleanliness and give proper presentation. TNS
