Campus notes: Annual Day celebration
Hoshiarpur: Rising Star Army Pre-Primary School, Unchi Bassi, celebrated Annual Day titled 'Satrangi Bachpan'. The occasion was graced by Col Rachak Tyagi who presided over the function as the chief guest. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Manisha Tyagi. The opening ceremony which started with Krishan Vandana was followed by various colourful dance items, play and skit.
Annual Prize Distribution Function
Jalandhar: The Annual Prize Distribution Function 2024 ‘Buniyaad’ was held in Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School. Dr Manoj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of DAV University, was the chief guest. Among other dignitaries present were president Naresh Budhia, vice-president Vinod Dada, Manager Praveen Dada and Principal Priyanka Sharma. In the cultural programme, the students showcased the richness of Indian culture signifying the foundation, the roots and the very core that shapes our present and future. Students of pre-primary wing gave the message of importance of family and relations which acts as a strong foundation for the children. Students of Classes I-V gave the message that roots are imbibed only with collaboration between teachers, parents and students.
Vijay Diwas
Jalandhar: Eklavya School celebrated Vijay Diwas on its premises. Students of classes IV and V displayed slogans, applauding the actions of the freedom fighters. Chairman JK Gupta said, “On Vijay Diwas, we salute the indomitable spirit of our armed forces whose valour and sacrifice led to triumph in the 1971 war.” Director of Eklavya School Seema Handa said Vijay Diwas promoted a sense of patriotism and unity among citizens.
Annual Sports Day
Jalandhar: Cambridge International School (Co-ed) hosted its Annual Sports Meet. The event was held in two lively sessions for students of Grades I to III and Grades IV to V. It served as a platform for young students to exhibit their sportsmanship. The event had Punjab minister Mohinder Bhagat as the chief guest. The highlight of the day was the inauguration of the little gym that aims to enhance motor skills, improve concentration, and foster a sense of discipline among students, supporting their holistic development.
