Campus notes: DAV school girl wins silver medal

Samridhi Bhardwaj, a class XI student of Police DAV Public School, has won a silver medal in the North Zone Inter-State Junior (Under-19) Badminton Championship 2024 organised by Chandigarh Badminton Association. Prize distribution was done by Pullela Gopichand (Chief Coach India) and Priyanka Bharti, Administrative Secretary, Medical Education and Research, Punjab.

Session on Self-Defence

A special session on self-defence was organised at Apeejay School, Model Town. Chief guest of the day was Praveen Shrestha, who is an associate instructor of the Indian Para SF Military Close Combat System, head of Shaolin Punjab, and a third-degree black belt. Bhavya Kapoor provided the students with information about the techniques and strategies necessary for self-defence.

Awareness on women rights

An awareness programme was organised under the aegis of women empowerment cell of PCM SD College for Women in collaboration with the Bhartiya Vikas Parishad on the vital topic ‘Rights of women under various civil and criminal laws’.

Accolades in sports
