Campus notes: Half Marathon for Positivity

The Aarogya Club of Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology organized a 6 km Half Marathon titled “Pace for Positivity – Leave Stress Behind.” The event aimed to promote health, fitness, and mental well-being, drawing over 430 participants including students, faculty, and fitness enthusiasts. Vivek Modi (IAS, SDM Adampur) and Rajbir Marwaha (Naib Tehsildar) flagged off the event and motivated the runners. Arpit Vajgel claimed the top spot among men, while Nidhi Yadav emerged victorious among women. Special appreciation was given to Praduman Tripathi, a specially-abled participant.

Grassroots Innovators of Punjab

The “GRIP 3.0” programme was inaugurated at I K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) in collaboration with Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, National Innovation Foundation, and the Department of Science and Technology and Environment, Govt of India. The initiative aims to empower grassroots innovators in Punjab. The program was inaugurated by IKGPTU Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Susheel Mittal and other officials. Dr Manpreet Singh from PSCST highlighted the initiative’s focus on promoting rural innovation.

KMVites Gain Insights at PGIMER

Students from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya visited the Dietetics Department at PGIMER, Chandigarh, for an academic and industry exposure programme. The visit offered hands-on experience in clinical nutrition and therapeutic diet planning. Dr B N Behra, senior dietitian at PGIMER, shared insights into medical nutrition therapy for managing diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular conditions.
