Campus notes: New academic session for KG
State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, marked the beginning of a new academic session (2025-26) for kindergarten in a grand and heartwarming ceremony. The school campus was adorned with vibrant decorations. Teachers and staff members created a magical environment with engaging activities, ensuring that the young learners felt at home from the very first step into their new world of education. A delightful cake-cutting ceremony added to the festive spirit, symbolising the sweet start of an enriching academic year. The giggles and laughter of the little ones resonated through the school as they enjoyed fun-filled games, storytelling sessions and interactive performances. Principal Savina Bahl extended a warm welcome to the parents.
TB and drug awareness rally
A tuberculosis awareness and drug abuse awareness rally was organised by St Soldier Nursing Training Institute, Khambra, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society. The rally was flagged off by Secretary of Red Cross Society and team members from the Nursing Institute. It concluded at Dr Ambedkar Bhawan, Khambra. The students made posters and wrote slogans to create awareness on TB and drug abuse. A nukkad natak was staged on TB awareness by the students. Group chairman Anil Chopra appreciated the students and encouraged them to keep participating in all these activities.
Lecture on AI, Cyber Security
Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering hosted an insightful expert lecture featuring Laksh Luther, a distinguished specialist in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cyber security. The session provided students and faculty with a deeper understanding of cutting-edge AI tools and their real-world applications in cybersecurity. Luther, with his extensive experience in AI development, demonstrated the capabilities of advanced AI models, including Large Language Models (LLM) and DeepSeek. His engaging session covered practical applications of AI in various industries, the evolving landscape of cyber security and the importance of AI-driven decision-making in business and technology. Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, expressed his gratitude to Luther for his contribution.
World Water Day
Eklavya School celebrated World Water Day. In the assembly, students of Class 6 and12 presented speeches and poems, emphasising the need to save water and reduce wastage. Director Seema Handa addressed the gathering and encouraged students to adopt simple practices like turning off taps, fixing leaks and using water wisely in their daily lives. It was a meaningful step towards fostering a sense of environmental responsibility among students.
