Campus notes: Orientation programme
Ivy World School welcomed new parents to the Parent Orientation Programme on Saturday. The session was designed to provide valuable insights into the school’s vision, curriculum, policies and student support services, ensuring a smooth transition for both students and parents. The interactive session aimed to familiarise parents with the school environment, introduce them to the faculty and administration and address their queries regarding their child’s educational journey. All parents were encouraged to gain first-hand experience of the school’s learning environment which balances academics, sports and extracurricular activities to ensure holistic development. The orientation programme served as an effective platform to build connections, foster transparency and nurture future-ready learners.
Graduation Day celebrations
Jalandhar: Tagore’s International Smart School organised its 9th convocation ceremony to applaud the young enthusiastic learners of class KG-II for their performance in the session 2024-25. The occasion was graced by Dean Vinod Shashi Jain. The celebrations commenced with a ‘welcome speech’. Various activities presented by tiny-tots such as group dance, singing, yoga, poem recitations, speeches and beautiful messages were show-stealing performances. Tiny tots of pre-primary wing were felicitated with degrees of graduation by Vinod Shashi Jain and Director Ruchika Jain. They lauded the endeavours of the students and motivated them to be progressive learners, setting big goals and putting dedicated efforts as promising and flourishing citizens.
Spring camp
Phagwara: Kamla Nehru Primary School organised a spring camp from March 21 to 29. Students from Grade I to V participated in it. Activities like art and craft, dance, sports, computer skills and gaming were organised. Students performed well in all the activities and learnt new things. At the closing ceremony of spring camp, students gave presentations related to all the activities they had learnt in these days. School head Jyoti Bhardwaj blessed all the students and encouraged them to participate in such activities in future.
Internship completed
Jalandhar: Manhav Malhotra, a final year student of B.Com LLB from St Soldier Law College, completed his internship under Justice Surya Kant, senior judge of Supreme Court of India. Manhav is the first student from all over Punjab, who availed this opportunity. He shared his experiences of the Supreme Court saying that it is a treasure of learning many new and exclusive judicial manners, procedures and research which are not possible from any other judicial forum. Earlier, Malhotra did his internship with Justice Anoop Chitkara of Punjab and Haryana High Court. Dr SC Sharma, college director, said Manav is a student of rare qualities, who is hard working, sincere, devoted and always ready to learn new things. Group Chairman Anil Chopra and vice-chairperson Sangeeta Chopra congratulated Manhav, who has opened new gates of internships with sitting judges for other students of the college.
Rang Manch
Kapurthala: Guru Nanak College of Education for Women actively participated in the Rang Manch 4.0 Inter-College Festival organised by the CT Group of Institutions. The competition witnessed participation from numerous colleges in the region wherein students showcased their talent, in which college students performed well. They clinched the first position in on-the-spot teaching aid competition in English and second position in mathematics, third positions in AdMad show, mehndi competition and best-out-of-waste project display.
