Apeejay College of Fine Arts
Jalandhar: Students of PG Department of Computer Science, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, participated in the seven-day workshop at IIT Roorkee. The seven students — Taranpreet Kaur( MVoc e-commerce and digital marketing), Arshiya Jairath, Tanisha, Aarush and Ekam ( BVoc Data Science) — participated in seven sessions organised on the topic ‘Securing the future: Al privacy and zero-touch networks’. The workshop taught them about the necessity of being staying aware and literate about the prevalence and dependence on AI in today’s time and how it is of utmost importance that being the users of AI, one needs to be attentive enough while using it that they don’t become the victims of any of its negative consequences. Dr Neerja Dhingra, Principal, ACFA, congratulated the students and appreciated the efforts of Dr Roopali Sood, Head, Department of Computer Science, Dr Jagmohan Mago and Harpreet Kaur for guiding the students for the opportunity.
Ivy World Play School
Ivy World Play School, Civil Lines, celebrated Raksha Bandhan under the guidance of Principal Sanjeev Chauhan and Headmistress Shefali Sharma. Children made organic rakhis using paper sheets and coloured rice. They also received rakhi packages that included seeds, encouragement to plant the seeds, and information on the value of organic rakhis. Children enthusiastically commemorated the day by tying rakhis to their siblings and mentors. They made vibrant Rakhis with love and care by showcasing their inventiveness. Children were also shown videos to help them appreciate the lovely relationship between a brother and sister.
Swami Sant Dass Public School
Swami Sant Dass Public School celebrated Raksha Bandhan with fervour. Students of Bhai Veer Singh House presented a show depicting the idea that anyone who protects deserves to shown affection by being presented a Rakhi. The house teachers Renu Sharma, Pavitra, Rajwinder and Harpreet mentored the students to present an amalgamation of values with purity of thoughts. The students presented a choreography displaying glimpses of Lord Krishna and Droupadi.
State Public School
State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, organised an activity observing the true bond of brothers and sisters. The kids of kindergarten along with classes I and II celebrated this occasion with the brave and courageous defence people of the Army by tying Rakhi on their wrist. Rakhi making activity was also held where the beauty of creating rakhi was seen. Girls tied rakhi on the on the wrist of boys and in return boys gifted them chocolates. President Narotam Singh, vice-president Dr Gagandeep Kaur of Group of State Public Schools along with the Principal Savina Bahl appreciated the efforts made by the tiny tots.
Seth Hukam Chand SD Public School
Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School with a vibrant spirit .The students tied rakhis to trees and pledged to take care of them by nurturing the environment. Students participated in rakhi making and gift wrapping competition. The competition witnessed an array of creative and innovative ideas. Principal Priyanka Sharma appreciated the students creativity and motivated the learners to preserve the planet.
