Phagwara, November 9

The Phagwara CIA Staff on Tuesday busted a gang of thieves and arrested the kingpin. The accused (kingpin) has been identified as Sunny of Baheli who was nabbed with two country-made weapons. SSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh said Sunny along with his two acccomplices Sunny of Gali Zero Subhash Nagar and Jasveer Singh of Kolsar Mohalla, who is currently in Dubai, have been involved in various theft incidents. The probe is under way. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
