School students and Nihang Singh organisations participated in large numbers. The kirtan jathas recited hymns of the founder of Sikhism, while gatka teams impressed the sangat with their martial skills. The procession was led by Panj Pyaras and a flower-decked palanquin (Palki Sahib). Devotees lined both sides of the route, paying respects to the Guru Granth Sahib, making offerings and receiving parsad.
