The results of the Centre’s annual cleanliness survey, Swachh Survekshan, were released today, with Jalandhar securing the 82nd national rank in the category of cities with a population between 3 lakh and 10 lakh. This marks a significant improvement from last year’s position of 239.

Jalandhar has also been awarded the 'Water Plus' certification in the survey, indicating progress in the waste water management and sanitation.

However, despite the upward trend at the national level, the city continues to face challenges in key areas.
