Come forward to preserve cultural legacy of state: Ministers to students

Cabinet Ministers Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Sunder Sham Arora exhorted youths to come forward for preserving rich cultural legacy of the state.

Addressing the gathering during a function organised by the Sri Ram Navmi Utsav Committee here at DAVIET College, the Cabinet Ministers accompanied by committee president and chief editor of a group of newspapers Vijay Kumar Chopra said there was need for making concerted efforts towards this direction.

They said need of the hour was to develop good habits among children which would make them successful in their lives in the future. They said that any nation, which does not provide quality education to its children, could never progress.

They asked the students to keep their aims high so that they could play major role in nation building and said that our freedom fighters laid their lives for us and we should all follow their footsteps.

Recalling the contribution of Sri Ram Navmi Utsav Committee in religious and social field, the ministers lauded the committee president for taking up this initiative to bring people from varied political ideologies on a single platform.

Amritsar MP Gurjeet S Aujla, MLAs Sushil K Rinku, Rajinder Beri, DC Varinder Kumar Sharma, Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar and SDM Jai Inder Singh were among those others present.
