In an effort to make the upcoming Republic Day celebrations more inspiring and meaningful, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba held a special meeting with the families of freedom fighters at the District Administrative Complex. During the meeting, family members were formally invited to participate in the Republic Day event and were assured of their importance in the celebrations.

Recalling the invaluable contributions of freedom fighters, ADC Rahul Chaba emphasised that India’s independence would not have been possible without their sacrifices. He stated that honouring the families of these national heroes during events like Republic Day is a way to express the nation’s gratitude.

He also discussed the arrangements being made to ensure their comfort and convenience, including special seating and transport facilities to and from the venue. Encouraging the families to actively participate, the ADC reiterated that their presence would add to the event’s significance.

During the meeting, family members of the freedom fighters shared their concerns and suggestions, which the ADC assured would be addressed on a priority. He reaffirmed that the sacrifices of their ancestors would never be forgotten, and such events aim to keep their legacy alive.
