Punjab Health Systems Corporation Vice-Chairman Maninderjit Singh Vicky Ghannaur on Monday carried out surprise inspections at the Civil Hospital in Nawanshahr and the Government Hospital in Balachaur to assess the on-ground status of healthcare services being provided to the public. He visited various wards and reviewed the medical facilities available to patients.

During the visit, the Vice-Chairman interacted directly with admitted patients and their families to gather first-hand feedback on the quality of healthcare services. He instructed hospital authorities to ensure that every patient receives timely and efficient medical care without facing any inconvenience.

Speaking to the media, Vicky Ghannaur said that the Punjab Government is committed to providing high-quality and accessible healthcare services to all residents. He added that significant reforms have been introduced in the health sector, and today's inspection was aimed at reviewing the functioning of government hospitals so that any further required improvements can be implemented promptly. He also highlighted that free medicines are being made available for the benefit of patients.

The Vice-Chairman stressed that such surprise inspections are essential to maintaining transparency and accountability within the health department. Any shortcomings identified during these visits, he said, will be addressed without delay.

Before concluding, he directed health officials to continuously work towards strengthening healthcare facilities and to ensure full support for patient welfare.

Those present during the visit included SMO Dr Satwinder Pal Singh, DMC Dr Harpreet Singh, Dr Jatinder Pal Singh at the Balachaur Hospital, Medical Officer Navdeep Kaur, along with other medical staff.
