The Nakodar and Shahkot police are adopting precautionary measure to check the spread of Corona virus. Nakodar Assistant Superintendent of Police Vatsala Gupta said the Nakodar Sadar police have registered one first information report (FIR) in this connection on Tuesday and arrested two persons.
She said the accused were loitering by violating curfew norms, adding that no one would be allowed to defy the restrictions imposed by the administration.
She said a case under different Sections of the IPCode and Sections of the Disaster Management Act 2005 had been registered against the accused that were released on personal bond with a warning to follow the curfew orders.
She said many two wheelers had been impounded and traffic challans had been issued to violators.
Shahkot Deputy Superintendent of Police Piara Singh said Mehatpur police today registered two cases and arrested two persons on the charge of violating the curfew orders.
The Bilga police registered one FIR and arrested two persons on the charge of violating the curfew today, SHO Surjit Singh Padda.
