The inauguration ceremony was led by Special DGP (Technical Support Services) Ram Singh, who was joined by Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Dhanpreet Kaur, Joint CP Sandeep Kumar, DCP Investigation Manpreet Singh Dhillon and other senior police officials.

The cyber kiosk is a standalone security device designed to detect malicious, suspicious, or harmful files and applications on mobile phones and USB storage devices. It enables citizens to ensure the safety of their digital data by identifying potentially dangerous content.

In addition to the inauguration, a targeted CASO (Cordon and Search Operation) was conducted across the city under the leadership of Ram Singh, along with the CP Jalandhar and the concerned ACPs. The operation focused on identified hotspot areas, where multiple checkpoints were set up to curb drug trafficking and apprehend criminal elements.

Later, the Special DGP chaired a high-level meeting with CP Jalandhar, Joint CP Jalandhar, and senior officers, including Gaurav Toora (SSP Kapurthala), Sandeep Kumar Malik (SSP Hoshiarpur), and Harwinder Singh Virk (SSP Jalandhar Rural).
