Hoshiarpur to Vrindavan bus service begins

Hoshiarpur, December 13
Meeting the long-pending demand of residents of the city, the Vrindavan bus service of the Punjab Roadways from Hoshiarpur was started on Thursday. It was flagged off by Cabinet Minister Sundar Sham Arora in the presence of saints and devotees.
A total of 50 devotees left for the ‘yatra’ acclaiming ‘Banke Bihari Lal’s Jai’ and ‘Radhe-Radhe’. The bus was flagged off from Sri Govind Godham Gaushala on Adamwal Road. The bus will start daily from Hoshiarpur bus stand at 6:30 am and proceed to Vrindawan with Jalandhar as its first stoppage.
On return journey, the bus will leave from Mathura at 4 am on the next day. The expenses for the return journey for devotees on the first day tour were paid by Cabinet Minister Arora himself.
Earlier, the minister paid obeisance at the Sri Banke Bihari Sneh Mandir at Gaushala and thanked Chief Minister (CM) Capt Amarinder Singh and Transport Minister Razia Sultan for starting the bus service.
He said his effort to start a bus service to other religious places were on as well. For this, they have met the CM and will continue to work further, he added.
He said: “A bus service will be started soon from Hoshiarpur to Katra for the pilgrims going to Mata Vaishno Devi. Swami Prakashanand Saraswati and Sneh Amritanand also blessed everyone on the occasion.
