DAV University secured a gold medal from All-India Inter-University Archery Championship 2025-26 (men and women), held at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo. The event, organised under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), witnessed participation from 168 universities across the country.
DAV University’s Women Archery Team comprising Vandana Chauhan, Neha and Jagawanti Yadav of Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) programme delivered a performance, clinching the gold medal in the Indian Round Team Championship. Their impeccable coordination, focus and determination brought glory to the university.
Adding to this golden success, Neha, a promising B.P.Ed. student, showcased outstanding individual talent by securing the bronze medal in the Indian Round Individual Championship (women’s category). Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, DAV University, congratulated the winners, stating, “This remarkable achievement reflects the hard work, dedication and indomitable spirit of our students. With consistent victories in national-level competitions, DAV University continues to shine with academic and athletic achievements, inspiring younger lot.”
Echoing the sentiment, Prof (Dr) SK Arora, Registrar, DAV University, lauded the efforts of the players and the staff from the Department of Physical Education and the coaches for their consistent efforts in training and motivating the team.
