Day after VB remand, MLA Arora taken to hospital after he complained of uneasiness
Jalandhar Central MLA Raman Arora was taken to Jalandhar Civil Hospital here late Sunday evening after he complained of uneasiness.
While the Vigilance Bureau (VB) officials called it a routine examination, doctors informed that the MLA underwent BP check-up and ultrasound scans.
The MLA's health reportedly deteriorated amidst his questioning in the graft case.
A senior doctor at the hospital said that the MLA was brought to there with an increased pulse rate and high BP. An injection was administered to him after which he was taken back. Notably, sources at the hospital said that the vehicle taking the MLA to the hospital first turned back, then returned again. As per them, the vehicle had first returned to evade some of the mediapersons.
DSP Sukhdev, when questioned by mediapersons on the MLA's hospital visit, said, "He was brought there for a routine check-up."
The MLA himself didn't respond to any media queries on his health.
Arora had been arrested by the Vigilance Bureau on Friday after a raid at his residence — in an alleged case of corruption and extortion. On Saturday, the Jalandhar Central Legislator of the AAP had been remanded to five days in the VB custody.
Arora was held just days after the May 14 arrest of ATP Sukhdev Vashishth.
