Under the “Eat Right” initiative of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), a meeting of the district-level advisory committee was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain. Civil Surgeon Dr Pawan Kumar was also present on the occasion. Two government schools, certified as “Eat Right Schools” —- PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Mukerian, and Government Senior Secondary School, Lamin, were presented certificates on the occasion.

The DC felicitated six food business operators (FBOs) who received star rating in the “Eat Right Hygiene Rating” under FSSAI by giving them with certificates. These food business operators include Galaxy Restaurant, Tanda, Sandeep Sweets & Restaurant, Tanda, Love Family Restaurant, Tanda, Malik Sweet Shop, Talwara, Sharma Sweet Shop, Talwara and Essen Stop Family Restaurant, Mukerian and Hajipur. They were awarded hygiene rating certificates.

The DC appreciated the recipients of the hygiene rating certificate and also urged food business operators to follow FSSAI norms.
