DC releases pictorial calendar on Punjab’s heritage monuments

Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Dr Himanshu Aggarwal released a pictorial art calendar 2025 and documentary ‘Heritage Monuments of Punjab — Landmarks of Historic Legacy’ at District Administration Complex today.

While unveiling the calendar showcasing the heritage monuments of Punjab, Dr Aggarwal, acknowledged the commendable efforts of author Harpreet Sandhu, for his meticulous research and artistic dedication towards compiling the project dedicated to the culture and heritage of the state.

The DC lauded Harpreet Sandhu for highlighting four of the prominent heritage locations of Jalandhar in the calendar. The monuments featured are the Dakhni Sarai (Nakodar), Maharaja Ranjit Singh Fort (Phillaur), Nurmahal Sarai (Nurmahal) and the Tomb of Muhammad Momin and Haji Jamal (Nakodar). The DC said the document will greatly enhance public awareness towards bringing to light the architectural and cultural treasures of the district.

Terming this calendar a unique initiative, he said it showcased the unparalleled grandeur and historical significance of Punjab’s centuries-old iconic heritage monuments.
